Wintering - Kriya & Somatic breathwork half day retreat
As winter approaches, nature invites us to slow down, reflect, and release what no longer serves us, creating space for renewal. This sacred season calls us to honor the quiet power of stillness, descend into the depths of our being, and realign with the Earth’s rhythms. Winter is a time to go inward, preparing for the spiritual rebirth that spring promises.
This winter, Sakalya Yoga teacher Chloe Coleman and Somatic Breathwork teacher Dana Readings are coming together to offer a transformative experience that honors the season’s potent energy. Through the ancient practice of Kriya (Himalayan Kundalini) and somatic breathwork, we will journey inward to release old patterns, heal on a deep level, and align our energy with the wisdom of winter.
The Kriya practice will be specifically chosen to complement the journey ahead, aligning with the energy of the season to tune us into the heart and our inner self. This practice will create a safe, grounded container, awakening our energy and preparing us for the deep transformative work that follows. By attuning our inner frequency to the quiet stillness of winter, the Kriya will help us root into the present moment, opening the way for us to descend into the somatic breathwork.Somatic breathwork is a deeply therapeutic practice that shifts the mind-body into a non-ordinary state of consciousness. In this altered state, we will access transformational emotional and physical release, neuroplasticity, energetic transmutation, and profound clarity. Unlike traditional pranayama, somatic breathwork guides us through a journey that facilitates deep healing, reprogramming the nervous system, clearing stagnant energy, and allowing for profound clarity and insight.
Together, we will honor the wisdom of winter, surrender to its transformative energy, and prepare ourselves for the renewal that awaits us in spring.

"What if you just jumped? Jumped fully into the unknown. Allowed yourself to go to all the places, try all of the things, to become the person life taught you to fear. What if you listened to the little niggles, the gut feelings, the beat of your own heart, and allowed them to take you to a place you forgot existed.
What if you let them lead you home."
